Dolores Jane Umbridge is a fictional character from the Harry Potter series created by J.K. Rowling. She is the secondary antagonist of the fifth novel, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Sadistic and Vengeful
Umbridge was the eldest child and only daughter of Orford Umbridge, a wizard, and Ellen Cracknell, a Muggle. As a Ministry of Magic bureaucrat, she was able to indulge in her sadistic tendencies when she was posted to Hogwarts as Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.
